Adani Cement to have this much capacity in its maiden plant

New Delhi: Adani Group is foraying into cement manufacturing and planning to establish its maiden cement plant in Maharashtra with a capacity of 5 millon tones per annum, according to sources. 

Adani Enterprises has incorporated Adani Cement Industries Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, last week to become "manufacturers, producers and processors of all types of cement". The cement plant is being set up in Raigad district of Maharashtra, according to the sources spoke to.

“Land acquisition is in progress in Raigad district for the cement plant. It will have a capacity of 5 million tones per annum initially which can be scaled up in future,” one of the sources said. 

An email sent to Adani Group on the version of the sources of have not been answered till the publishing of this story.

Adani Cement Industries Ltd has an authorised share capital of Rs 10 lakh. The company has a paid-up share capital of Rs 5 lakh and has 50,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each.
