Akzo Nobel India Ltd’s net profit tanks 23% to Rs 54 cr for Q4FY20

New Delhi: Akzo Nobel India Ltd’s consolidated net profit tanked 23 percent to Rs 54 crore for the fourth quarter of the fiscal 2019-20 as compared to Rs 70 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company’s revenue from operations fell 18 percent to Rs 581 crore for the fourth quarter of the fiscal 2019-20 as against Rs 705 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company’s consollidated net profit jumped by 12 percent to Rs 237 crore for the entire fiscal 2019-20 as compared to Rs 211 crore in the previous fiscal. 

The Indian arm of the Dutch company’s consolidated revenue from operations declined 8 percent to Rs 2,661 crore for the entire fiscal 2019-20 as against Rs 2,918 crore in the previous fiscal.

The consolidated total expenses of the company dropped to Rs 514 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 621 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The consolidated total expenses of the company fell to Rs 2,370 crore in the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 2,645 crore in the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.   

The company has Dulux brand of paint in India, apart from other brands.
