Amazon India blunders, delivers wrong AC

New Delhi: Amazon India (www.Amazon.in) blundered and delivered the wrong split air conditioner by way of delivering the indoor unit of a different capacity and the outdoor unit of a different capacity recently to me.

Amazon did not even have any replacement for the wrong AC sent to me and I had no option but to take a refund. I had ordered Blue Star 0.8 Tons 3 Star Inverter Split AC. My order number was 405-8835682-0889935. By the time I had ordered and the product was delivered and it was identified by the company (Blue Star) that different capacity units have been sent by Amazon and they are incompatible with each other, precious time of one week had been wanted and I could not even provide comfort to my relatives for whom I was buying the AC who were visiting me for few days.

Amazon did little to compensate me for the time and effort wasted in the entire to get the AC delivered and then take it back. The few times I had to speak to their representatives to get the product returned, it turned out to be an ordeal since they have very bad connection and the call to customer care drops often.

The wrong shipment by the seller, in this case, exposes the fact that Amazon has little checks and control on what has been ordered by the customer and what is being delivered by the sellers on its platform.   

When RealtynInfra.com sought an explanation from the company on the episode for the purpose of writing a news article, the company did not respond.
