Ambuja Cement’s net profit jumps two-fold at Rs 1,161 cr
New Delhi: Ambuja Cement’s consolidated net profit jumped nearly two-fold at Rs 1,161 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal as compared to a net profit of Rs 593 crore in same quarter of the previous fiscal (the company follows a Jan-Dec financial year).
The revenue from operations of the company jumped 50 percent at Rs 6,978 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 4,644 crore in same quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.
The company’s total expenses increased 42 percent at Rs 5,467 crore as compared to Rs 3,845 crore in June quarter of 2020. This consolidated result of Ambuja Cements is inclusive of the performance of its step-down subsidiary ACC Ltd.
On a standalone basis, Ambuja Cement clocked 59 percent jump in net profit at Rs 723 crore as compared to Rs 453 crore in the same quarter last year. The standalone revenue from operations of the company jumped 55 percent at Rs 3,371 crore as against Rs 2,177 crore a year ago.
