Ashiana Housing's net loss narrows sharply to Rs 3.27 cr for Q1FY21

New Delhi: Ashiana Housing Ltd’s consolidated net loss narrowed sharply to Rs 3.27 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 8.12 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The consolidated revenues from operations fell 59 percent to Rs 36 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 88 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The consolidated total expenses of the company declined to Rs 41 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The booking of space was lower at 0.81 lakh square feet in the latest quarter as compared to 4.14 lakh square feet in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The decline in new bookings was mainly due to the lockdown in the country.

The total space constructed by the company was lower at 1.21 lakh square feet in the latest quarter as compared to 3.27 lakh square feet in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The construction was obstructed due to the lockdown. The pre-tax operating cash flows was positive at Rs 10.56 crore in the latest quarter as compared to Rs 5.14 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.  The revenue recognized from the completed projects of Rs 25.19 crore in the latest quarter a compared to Rs 80 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The company pre-paid the NCDs of Rs 10 crore held by ICICI Prudential MF and Rs 7 crore held by Aditya Birla Capital in the latest quarter.
