Bengaluru, Delhi NCR see many fold jump in new launches of homes in Q4
New Delhi: While Bengaluru witnessed over four-fold jump in new launches of residential property, Delhi NCR saw about three-times increase in the fourth quarter of the ongoing caliber year (Q4) as compared to the immediately preceding quarter (July-Sep quarter of 2020).
The IT capital of the country saw new launches of 4,335 homes in Q4 as compared to just 1,074 houses in Q3. Delhi NCR, on the other hand, witnessed launches of 2,244 properties as against 699 homes in Q3. Hence the former saw 304 percent jump while the latter saw 221 percent increase, according to a report by property consultant JLL.
Kolkata saw new launches of 688 homes in Q4. The same was almost zero in Q3 in the city. Mumbai witnessed the least number of launches in terms of percentage. The maximum City saw launches of 3,223 houses in Q4 as against 2,242 houses in Q3, translating into an increase of just 44 percent which was the least among top seven cities in the country.
A total of 26,785 homes were launches in Q4 in the top seven cities. The same was 12,654 units in Q3, translating into an increase of 112 percent.
