BPTP ‘Spacio’ buyers allege BPTP is forcing to pay massive amt as escalation charges

New Delhi: Property buyers BPTP ‘Spacio’ project in Sector 37D are saying that realty player BPTP is forcing them to pay up Rs 15 lakh as ‘Escalation Charges’ even though the project has been delayed by the builder by more than seven years.

Spacio was launched by the builder in 2010 with promise of possession by 2014. The home buyers are saying that they have made payment to the tune of 95 percent of the price of their homes and now they are being forced to pay another Rs 15-20 lakh.

This comes when they are paying the rent as well as EMI of the home loan. Even the government bodies have not come to their rescue so far in the matter.

The homebuyers alleged that the realty firm got the occupancy certificate (OC) for a few towers on 15 January 2021 and then sent letters to the home buyers with offers of possession asking 25 percent more of the price tag of the flats in the name of escalation charges and also area increase.

The BPTP spokesperson, however, said that the allegations are “false and baseless”.
