Brigade Enterprises suffers net loss of Rs 11 cr for Q4FY20

New Delhi: Benagluru-based Brigade Enterprises suffered a consolidated net loss of Rs 11.02 crore for the fourth quarter of 2019-20 fiscal as against a net profit of Rs 72 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The consolidated revenue from operations fell about 17 percent to Rs 635 crore for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 766 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.   

For the entire financial year 2019-20, the company’s consolidated net profit tanked 60 percent to Rs 114 crore as against a net profit of Rs 281 crore in the previous financial year.

For the entire financial year 2019-20, the consolidated revenue from operations of the company fell about 11 percent to Rs 2,632 crore as compared to Rs 2,972  crore in the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.

 

 

The total expenses of the company fell marginally to Rs 637 crore in the fourth quarter of 2019-20 fiscal as against Rs 663 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. For the whole financial year 2019-20, the total expenses of the company fell about 12 percent to Rs 2,301 crore as compared to Rs 2,601 crore in the previous fiscal. 

Real estate accounted for Rs 462 crore of revenues of the company in the fourth quarter of the fiscal ended March 2020 as compared to Rs 593 crore of revues in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Hospitality business accounted for Rs 81  crore of revenues of the company in the fourth quarter of the fiscal ended March 2020 as compared to Rs 89 crore of revues I the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Leasing business accounted for Rs 105 crore of revenues of the company in the fourth quarter of the fiscal ended march 2020 as compared to Rs 36 crore of revues I the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

On standalone basis, the net profit of the company tanked 38 percent at Rs 40 crore for the fourth quarter of the financial year ended march 2020 as compared to Rs 65 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. For the whole of fiscal 2019-20, the net profit jumped 11 percent to Rs 260 crore as compared to 234 crore in the previous fiscal. The standalone revenues from operations of the company fell marginally to Rs 440 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as against Rs 464 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal. The standalone revenues from operation of the company for the entire fiscal increased marginally to Rs 1,849 crore as compared to Rs 1,805 crore in the previous fiscal.
