Buyers protest at Mahagun Grp’s office for alleged delay in possession of flats
New Delhi: Home buyers protested at realty player Mahagun Grp’s head quarter in sector 63 of Noida Sector for alleged delay in possession of apartments in one of its projects.
About 50 buyers gathered outside the office of the realty firm on Saturday and started the protest. They alleged that they had invested huge amounts of money in ‘Mahagun Mywoods’ Phase 3 project in Greater Noida West but the firm has delayed possession.
Rajiv Ranjan, a homebuyer at the protest site, “Mahagun had promised possession in 2017 and 2018. But for last two years, we are witnessing very slow speed of development. There are very few workers at the construction site and we feel the project will be further delayed,” he said.
The protesters were wearing black bands and clothes during the protest.
Abhimanyu Tripathi of Mahagun Grp said, "We have always stood by our buyers, and are working relentlessly day in and day out to complete and deliver the project", news wire PTI reported.
