CREDAI-Hyderabad urges govt to control cement prices

New Delhi: The Telangana state government must work towards bringing down the cement prices, real estate industry body CREDAI’s Hyderabad chapter has requested.

CREDAI said that cement prices have seen 50 percent jump since the lockdown has started. The price of cement bag used to be Rs 230-240 per bag of 50 kg. But now the process are in the range of Rs 350 per bag. The state government must control the prices which is essential for the survival of the real estate industry in the state.

The rising labour costs and shortage of labour is another serious problem that is plaguing the real estate industry right now, said P Rama Krishna Rao, CREDAI Hyderabad President. The labour fees has gone up I t he range of 15-20 percent in the last few months, according to CREDAI.

CREDAI has recently made representations to the state government to let the real estate d developers  NALA Tax (Non-agriculture land assessment tax) to authorities like HMDA and GHMC. This will reduce the delay in getting the approval and NOC for the projects.
