Delhi NCR Lags Behind Mumbai, Pune In New Residential Supply In Q1FY20: Liases Foras
New Delhi: Delhi NCR, comprising of important sub markets like Gurugram and Noida, has lagged behind Mumbai and even Pune in supply of new residential units during first quarter (Q1) of the current fiscal. Delhi NCR saw supply of just 9,555 units while Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Pune witnessed 20,108 and 14,616 units respectively during the period, according data by real estate consultancy Liases Foras.
The total new supply in the top eight cities the country stood at 66,111 units in the period.
Of the 9,555 new supply in Delhi NCR, 3681 units were in properties costing up to Rs 25 lakh and 3,640 units were in houses costing between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.
Of the 20,168 new supply in MMR, 4,391 units were in properties costing up to Rs 25 lakh and 4,643 units were in houses costing between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.
Ahmedabad outweighed both Bengaluru and Hyderabad in terms in new supply in the given period. Ahmedabad had 5925 units of new supply while Bengaluru and Hyderabad saw new supply of 7,969 and 3,166 units respectively.
