Dilip Buildcon barred by NHAI from future bids
New Delhi: NHAI has barred Dilip Buildcon from participating in future bids of the authority, directly or in association with a JV, after an accident in Andhra Pradesh at a highway being constructed by it caused some deaths.
The accident took place on 6 July on a flyover at Anandpuram- Pendurthi- Anakapalli section of national Highways 05 which was being constructed by DBL Anandapuram Anakapalli Highways Ltd, a special company formed by Dilip Buildcon Ltd. Two huge girders at the construction site of the flyover toppled and fell on vehicles plying underneath, causing some deaths.
The NHAI constituted an expert committee to investigate the incident and submit its report.
However, the NHAI will ill allow the company to complete the projects its has already bagged. The company, as on 31 March 2021, had government orders of Rs 27,441 crore, Dilip Buildcon said in a regulatory filing.
