Embassy Office Parks REIT, tenants pool money to set up 69 ICU beds in govt hospitals
New Delhi: Bengaluru-based Embassy Office Parks REIT and its tenants have pooled about Rs 7.3 crore to set up 69 ICU beds in the city.
The ICU beds have been set up in three government hospitals in Bengaluru together with life saving medical machinery and even manpower to operate the ICU beds.
The companies that have pooled in money include Swiss Re, ANZ and CapitaLand, Embassy REIT said in a statement.
The three hospitals will also get manpower assistance from ‘Doctors For You’, Cloud Physicians and ‘LabourNet’. There will also be support of Azim Premji Foundation that will take care of shortage of doctors and nurses needed to run the ICU beds.
Around 46 out of the 69 ICU beds are currently being set up in Epidemic Diseases Hospital, Indiranagar and Jayanagar General Hospital. Another 23 ICU beds will be finalized next week. The patients admitted to ICU of these hospitals will get treatment free of cost.
