Govt to start Rs 15,592 cr worth of highway projects in Andhra
New Delhi: The government will kick-start national highway construction programme by laying the foundation stones for 16 projects having a combined length of 1,411 kilometers worth a total of Rs 15,592 crore in Andhra Pradesh tomorrow.
The prominent projects will include four laning of Kadapa-Mydukur-Kurnool section of NH 40 which will have a total project cost of Rs 2075 crore.
Foundation stone will also be laid for six laning of Ranasthalam–Anandapuram section of NH-16 which will have total project cost of Rs 1,470 crore.
Foundation stone will also be laid for four laning of Vijayawada – Machilipatnam section of NH-65 and the Benz Circle Flyover on NH 16 having a total projects cost of Rs 1,470 crore, the minister of road transport said in a statement.
