Gurgaon Police finally arrest builder

New Delhi: Realty player Ardee Infrastructure Pvt Ltd’s VP Anil Hasija has been arrested by Gurgaon police for alleged irregularities in relation to allotment of plots belonging to EWS category in its housing colony in Sector 52 in Gurgaon.

The Gurgaon Police said the company official was arrested based on complaints of 10 people for allegedly not developing and handing over possession of the plots to the allottees even after 20 years since the date of getting a licence. The Gurgaon Police also said Hasija had forged some  documents to get the necessary licences and even occupation certificates.

Karan Goyal, Assistant Commissioner of Police, DLF, told mediepersons, “Anil Hasija was arrested on Wednesday. He was produced in a district court and taken on 4-day remand. We are conducting raids to arrest the other accused.”

The 10 complainants said that Ardee did not develop the space earmarked for the EWS plots and also cheated them despite knowing that the land was under dispute.

Last month, Hasija and many directors of Ardee’s associate companies were booked by the police for allegedly violating rules and regulations of the project licence issued by the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) for the housing society.
