Hiranandani Grp to invest Rs 10,000 cr for data centre in WB
New Delhi: Mumbai-based Hiranandani Grp will establish a logistics and ‘hyperscale’ data centre park with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore in West Bengal. The Grp has signed MoU to buy 100 acres of land at Uttarpara.
The land parcel will be acquired by GreenBase and Yotta-Hiranandani Grp companies. The investment by the group will be Rs 8,500 crore and another Rs 1,500 crore will be arranged by customers of the data centre.
GreenBase is a JV between Hiranandani Grp and PE firm Blackstone. Greenbase will set up three million square feet of industrial + warehousing space. Yotta is the Hiranandani Grp’s data centre division. Yotta will oversee development of 6 hyper connected-data centre buildings with a total of 250MW of data centre capacity. This will be developed over the coming several years, the Grp said in a statement.
