India Cements net profit jumps 2-fold at Rs 47 cr for Q1FY22
Noida: India Cements Ltd has clocked two-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 47 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 20 crore during the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
Company’s revenue from operations jumped 37 percent to Rs 1,045 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 763 crore during the same quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The total expenses of the cement maker jumped 32 percent at Rs 983.11 crore as compared to Rs 743.04 crore.
“The regular business operations have been disrupted during the quarter due to lockdowns, restrictions in transportation, supply chain disruptions, travel bans, social distancing and other emergency measures imposed by the Government. The pandemic situation has affected the normal business operations of the Company and production, sales and profitability, inter aila, have been impacted," it said.
