IRCTC's net profit jumps 80% to Rs 150 cr for Q2FY20

New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd's net profit jumped 80 percent to Rs 150 crore  in the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to a net loss of Rs 83 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The revenue from operations went up 18 percent to Rs 586 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019-20 as compared to Rs 497 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company’s net profit jumped 71 percent to Rs 528 crore for the whole fiscal 2019-20 as compared to a net loss of Rs 308 crore in the previous fiscal. 

The revenue from operations increased 22 percent to Rs 2,275 crore in the whole fiscal 2019-20 as compared to Rs 1,870 crore in the previous fiscal. 

The total expenses of the company fell to Rs 398 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal as compared to Rs 442 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The total expenses of the company increased to Rs 1,609 crore in the last fiscal as compared to Rs 1,517 crore in the previous fiscal.
