New Noida on cards; size of existing Noida to double
New Delhi: The real estate sector in and around Noida will get a boost as the UP government is looking to double the size of exiting city and add 20,000 hectares to it as ‘New Noida’. The government has instructed the Noida authority to chalk out a plan to develop a New Noida by stretching the boundaries up till Bulandshahr, an adjoining district.
The additional 20,000 hectares lies between Bulandshahr and Greater Noida. It was notified for development by UP State Industrial Development Authority a decade ago, officials of Noida Authority said.
“Noida authority will do development work on this 20,000 hectares once UP government completes the formalities on this,” said Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari.
“The proposed move by the government will help the prospects of the real estate industry in this region. Here will be direct impact on availability of land for industrial purposes as there is little land left in the city for industries,” said a real estate expert.
