Now fake plots in Bengaluru realty market, Police arrests gang

New Delhi: A gang selling plots on fake documents has been arrested by Bengaluru Police and seized cars worth Rs 35 lakh and jewelry worth Rs 17 lakh from the gang members. The gang members included a young woman.

The six gang members used to look for vacant plots around the city, mostly in outskirts lying in isolated surroundings. 

They used to make fake documents in the name of one of the members of the gang for the identified plot and then another member used to hunt for a buyer of the plot looking for land at ‘lower value'. The woman gang member and another male member used to pose as husband and wife and pretend that they have some urgent need for money ad hence they are selling their plot for lower value, Bengaluru South Police said in a statement. 

The buyers would arrange money through bank loans and ten gang members used to flee after taking money for the plot. 

The gang members arrested by the Police are Keerthana Shekhar (the woman), Pavan Kumar B R (36), Shekhar (36), Jayprakash.M (39), Umamahesh Rao (41), and Prajwal Ramaiah.
