Orient Electric Ltd’s net profit slumps 9% to Rs 35.78 cr for Q4FY20

New Delhi: CK Birla Group company Orient Electric Ltd’s net profit slumped about 9 percent to Rs 35.78 crore for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 38.62 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. The revenue from operations slumped about 12 percent to Rs 563.14 crore for the fourth quarter of 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 637.70 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

For the entire fiscal 2019-20, the net profit of the company jumped around 13 percent to Rs 78.62 crore as compared to Rs 69.31 crore in the previous fiscal. The revenue from operations increased by about 12 percent to Rs 2,061.82 crore as compared to Rs 1,864.40 crore in the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Orient Electric Ltd recommended a final dividend of Re 0.50 (50 percent) per equity share of face value of Re 1 each for the fiscal 2019-20, making a total dividend of Rs 1.15 (115 percent) per equity share of Re 1 each. This is including interim dividend of Re 0.65 (65 percent) per equity share declared earlier during the fiscal 2019-20.
