Residential property sales recovers more than 90% of pre covid levels of 2020: JLL
New Delhi: The residential property sales in first quarter of the current calendar year (Jan-March 2021) recovered more than 90 percent of the sales volumes seen in the same period of 2020. The figures pertain to the top seven cities of the country, according to a report by JLL India.
Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata even exceeded the sales figures of of Q1 2020.
Both Delhi NCR and Chennai saw decent jump in launch activity in first quarter of the current calendar year. The real estate companies remained focused on the completion of their projects and also in clearing their existing inventory.
Kolkata witnessed highest increase in sales activity in in first quarter of the current calendar year. In Q1 2021, Mumbai accounted for 23 percent of the total sales in the top seven cities of the country. This was followed by Delhi NCR with a share of 21 percent.
