Residents of Emaar project in Gurugram launch hunger strike over upkeep woes
New Delhi: The homebuyers Emaar Gurgaon Greens in Gurugram’s sector 102 have begun hunger strike against non-maintenance of the project.
There are several structural lacuna in the project. The residents of the project have also been demanding forensic audit of the accounts of the real estate firm Emaar and reversal of CAM (common area maintenance) charges. Despite repeated attempts and several complaints to the Chief Minister’s Window of Haryana, the residents say there has been no headway.
The residents have also complaint to various authorities and DTCP.
“We have been forced to go on hunger strike against several issues. One of them is that the builder is charging the residents Rs 50 lakh for management fees without any involvement in managing the society. We residents have raised our voice and given written complaint at various for a like the CM Window, DTCP and deputy commissioner in tis regard,” said a resident.
The homebuyers alleged the CAM fees are very high and they have been forced to pay 2 years of CAM fees in advance at possession. The builder even charged extra in the name of GST, they alleged.
