SAIL's net profit jumps five-fold to Rs 2,647 cr in Q4FY20

New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Ltd’s consolidated net profit jumped five-fold to Rs 2,647 crore in the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 548 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The consolidated revenue from operations fell 13 percent to Rs 16,171 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019-20 as compared to Rs 18,492 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company’s consolidated net profit dropped about 9 percent to Rs 2,120 crore for the whole fiscal 2019-20 as compared to a net loss of Rs 2,348 crore in the previous fiscal. 

The consolidated revenue from operations fell 8 percent to Rs 61,664 crore in the whole fiscal 2019-20 as compared to Rs 66,973 crore in the previous fiscal. 

The consolidated total expenses of the company fell to Rs 11682 crore in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal as compared to Rs 17,964 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The consolidated total expenses of the company fell to Rs 58,690 crore in the last fiscal as compared to Rs 63,752 crore in the previous fiscal.
