Shapoorji Pallonji emerges lowest bidder for Rajpath redevelopment in New Delhi
New Delhi: Infra player Shapoorji Pallonji has emerged as the lowest bidder for the massive redevelopment work of Rajpath in New Delhi. It quoted Rs 477 crore for the project. This quote is 4.99 percent lower than estimated cost as per the bid documents of CPWD.
The second-lowest bidder emerged to be Tata Projects. It quoted Rs 488.8 crore for the project. The Central Vista Avenue/Rajpath redevelopment work will be executed under the government’s Central Vista revamp project which is expected to cost Rs 13,500 crore. The project will begin right after Republic Day parade this year and the entire project is slated to be completed by Republic Day parade of 2022, a government official said.
