Singaporean firm plans data centre campus in Noida costing Rs 1,100 cr
New Delhi: A Singaporean company has offered to set up data centre campus in Noida with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore. The company, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), will set up the campus in phases and the first phase will see an investment of Rs 600 crore.
The first phase of the campus will see setting up of the critical IT infra and capacity of 18 MW. In the second and final phase, the IT infra and capacity of 18 MW will be taken up to 36 MW with an additional investment of Rs 500 crore, said Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, (IT and industrial development), UP government.
Three acres of land has been identified by the firm for the data centre. The centre seamless global connectivity. There are many IT companies in the vicinity of the proposed site which will help the region become a big data centre hub in the state.
