State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission orders realty firm to refund money to buyer with 12% Int
New Delhi: The State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Punjab has ordered Shubham Enclave Developers of Amritsar to refund Rs 27 lakh to a buyer, together with 12 percent interest per annum and Rs 33,000 as litigation cost.
The order came after the buyer Ranjit filed a case against Shubham Enclave saying he paid Rs 27 lakh to the realty firm for booking a house 2012. He saidin his petition that he was not possession of the house by Shubham Enclave despite several requests. He said that basic price of the apartment was fixed as Rs 30.4 lakh. The possession wa to be given in three years, that is, by 2915.
The commission sent several notices to Shubham Enclave Developers which did not turn up in the court. The commission then gave ex-parte judgment against the realty firm.
