The Ramco Cements Ltd’s PAT jumps 40% to Rs 236 cr in Q2FY21
New Delhi: The Ramco Cements Ltd’s profit after tax jumped 40 percent Rs 236 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 168 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.
The company’s revenue (net of GST) dropped 5 percent at Rs 1,265 crore in the second quarter as against Rs 1,326 crore in the same quarter of the previous quarter because of lower volumes. Th Ramco Cements sales fell 19 percent in volumes to 22.13 lakh tones in the second quarter as compared to 27.24 lakh tones in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Company’s EBITDA jumped by 48 percent at Rs 450 crore as compared to Rs 304 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. The company clocked its highest ever net profit and best ever EBITDA in the September quarter of the ongoing fiscal, the company said in statement.
The blended EBIDTA of the company per tonne for the second quarter stood at Rs 2,035 as compared to Rs 1,118 in the year ago quarter.
The variable cost of the company fell because of lower fuel cost and also due to improvement in blending ratio.
