Transport Corporation of India Ltd’s net profit tanks 86% to Rs 4.7 cr for Q1FY21

New Delhi: Transport Corporation of India Ltd’s (TCIL) consolidated net profit tanked 86 percent to Rs 4.7 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to a net profit of Rs 34 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The consolidated revenues from operations fell 39 percent to Rs 405 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 659 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The consolidated total expenses of the company declined to Rs 403 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 629 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.
