UltraTech Cement registers 3-fold increase in net profit at Rs 3,243 cr for Q4FY20

New Delhi: Aditya Birla Grp firm UltraTech Cement registered a 3-fold increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,243 crore for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal  as compared to Rs 1064 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The consolidated net sales of the company declined about 15 percent at Rs 10,579 crore for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal as compared to Rs 12,170 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The consolidated EBITDA of the company stood at Rs 2,443 crore for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The year-on-year figures are not comparable as UltraTech Cement acquired cement business of Century Textiles and Industries with effect from 1 October 2019.

UtraTech Cement said during it has cut its net debt to EBITDA ratio to just 1.7 times during the year. It was 2.83 times as on 31 March, 2019.

The company recommended a dividend of 130 percent. It is at the rate of Rs 13 per equity share of the face value of Rs 10 per piece, totaling Rs 375.21 crore.
