UltraTech Cement's net profit jumps two-fold at Rs 1,700 cr in Q1FY22
New Delhi: UltraTech Cement Ltd clocked two fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,700 crore in the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal as compared to Rs 793 crore in the same quarter.
The company’s revenue from operations jumped 54 percent to Rs 11,830 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal Rs 7,671 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, UltraTech Cement said in a BSE filing
The cement maker’s total expenses stood at Rs 9,508 crore registering an increase of 43 percent in the first quarter as compared to Rs 6,639 crore.
The consolidated sales volume stood at 21.53 million metric tones. "Production costs during the quarter increased 11 percent YoY, mainly on account of higher fuel prices," said UltraTech in a statement.
"This has enabled UltraTech to achieve an effective capacity utilisation of 73 percent during the quarter as against 46 percent in Q1FY21," said UltraTech Cement.
